(2018) As young women and artists we’ve created a movement film in response to our feminist studies, furthering our personal research on the ways in which women are bound in our contemporary society. Our clothing signifies the weighted expectations society has historically and is still presently placing on women. As we submerge, we strip ourselves of societal confines and battle the heavy layers of expectation, sexuality and self-doubt, to emerge fulfilled in our natural essence. As we shed the weight that sinks us, our true form begins to float to the surface, revealing women who know no bounds. Concept, direction and videography by Jessica Mak, Melanie Old, Hannah Robertson, Shaina Gibson
Kopfkino (2018) is a movement film that explores the facades individuals put on for others. The images we make of ourselves to be seen by the public. Kopflkino does not directly translate into English but, means ‘head images’. Visually, there is a connection between the imaginative states of ideas and visualizing made-up scenarios in your mind.

BLOOM 4 you (2016) - The deconstruction of a relationship which was solely based on sexual behaviour, mistreatment and lack of communication. We follow the side of the story where the noise was most disrupted. Are we attached to fabrication? The illusion? Or are we blinded by it and only realize it once it is too late.
